Check this out....it's the Guess the dictator or TV character site!

Psychic?

This site basically tries to read your mind....and usually succeeds! It's sort of eerie but really funny! It guessed my TV character 2 out of 3 times and my friend's all 3 out of 3 times....I even tried some Buffy characters. I didn't try any dictators.

Have fun....

Sleigh Thanks for the link! What a great way to kill a few anxious moments before an all new Buffy !

It guessed 3/4 correctly for me--- color me impressed. Did anyone answer the questions for themselves and see who it picked? Kinda funny.

Apropos nothing, what is Pacey like (on DC) ?

Best,

--Steve

Cool

I've added a question to the database, so it should be better at guessing one particular Buffy character which it couldn't get...

OK that was hilarious... I picked to be Stalin, and then promptly clicked that I was female - guess who it ended up picking? Thatcher! My students gave me odd looks as I proceeded to fall off my chair laughing.

Thanks Sleigh! Livened up a very annoying morning for me.

Steve,

Pacey is one of the 3 main characters on DC (Dawson and Joey are the other 2). Joey and Dawson have be friends since the womb, and everyone thought they would be a couple, but it turns out that it's Joey and Pacey that are together.

Pacey, like all TV teens, comes from a dysfunctional family, who have always treated hime badly (emotionally). As a consequence he has an inferiority complex big as all outdoors. He's also gets just-passing grades.

But he's got a good heart and this is what finally attracted Joey to him.

Think Xander, only not so comical, more of a screw-up, and incredibly more verbose (as are all DC characters) with the perceptions of a 50 year old (as all DC characters have).

Does that help?

Bill Thanks for the info! Boy did that get me wrong .

Pacey was the programs guess when i answered the questions for myself. The turning point seemed to be dating a mentally unbalanced person. Cest' la vie .

Hee hee, that site is cool. It got 2/3, but couldn't get the Host from Angel. Ah well. Also, it said I was Dr. Hibbart from the Simpsons! Heh. Except that I'm a young white non-cartoon guy, but you know.

OK, I tried that too, and got some very strange questions... "Were you ever male?" and "Do you sleep with a lot of men?" were my personal favourites.

But after a long trip down various Star Trek avenues, it finally decided I was Kachinski from Red Dwarf. Not bad!

Lynn: I wouldn't feel too bad....in my route to getting Rachel on Friends I got questions such as Do you look and act like a slut? and Did you ever sleep with your rommate's brother? I tried not to be offended...

Sleigh: But surely... for it to decide that you actually were Rachel from Friends, you would have had to answer yes to the room-mate's brother question?

sleigh: thanks for the site i dunno how many times i've visited it now..the only thing that bothers me is inablility to change entries in the database. like it guessed "Jane from Gilmore Girls" when it's really Lane. and "Main Character from King of Queens" instead of "Doug Heffernan"

steve: great idea about answering for yourself.

after answering no to practically every question, i got lois lane from superman. everyone else got cooler characters..

Bill: LOL! MacGyver is perfect! Highly knowledgeable about obscure things...resourceful.... Pretty funny.

Amy: I don't know, I think Lois Lane is pretty cool. After getting my slut questions and lack of intelligence questions that lead to Rachel on Friends I wasn't too psyched either. Like I said before, I'm trying not to take it personally.

Okay, now I'm worried....
I answered this one for myself, and came out as Dracula....

And on the Buffy personality quiz, I came out as Spike.

Do you think someone is trying to tell me something...?

sleigh: i know i shouldnt take it personally, but i think the fact that i answered no to practically every question made me realize how much i wasn't really like any tv character. you'd think after spending all these years watching tv, some of it would rub off on you. btw, i aside from the slut thing, i think rachel is hilarious.

comet: i never really watched bewitched, but was serena the witch? cuz that'd be cool

nadriel: which buffy personality quiz are you speaking of?

Okay, I'm Corey from Boy Meets World?

I'm actually kinda puzzled -- wasn't Corey the main guy, the brother of Fred Savage who (on the show) married a girl named Topanga? The site asked me twice if I'm gay. Twice I said yes. And it concludes that I'm Corey. Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention to Boy Meets World when it was on the air -- did I somehow miss all the gay subtext?

Bob If you look at the FAQ, you can get to the same character different ways. When i did it for Grace of Will & Grace, after a while it asked if &lt;so-and-so&gt; was my nemesis. At first i said "no"... about five questions later it guessed Grace. When i scrolled back and picked "yes", it guessed Grace one or two questions later. I think that just means someone who didn't know the correct answer entered her name again <img src="http://baboards.alternateversion.com/ubb/smilies/smirk.gif" alt="smilie">.

I think they have a pretty loose definition of "sitcom character". But anyway... pretty damned impressive.

It got Ned from Ned and Stacey. It got Joey from Brotherly Love. It got Blackadder, for God's sake! And it even got D'boy... uh, I mean, Zack, from Saved by the Bell.

And apparently, I'm Pippa from Facts of Life. I love the way it asked if I was Australian, and when I said yes immediately asked if I was sarcastic. Like Comet's European = poor thing.

Funny. Great site, Sleigh!
